Fire Regulations 2006/License Premises Act

Some of you may be aware the fire officers have now written to all license premises holders reminding them of their liabilities. We have spoken to the fire officers and they fully accept that they have a major task on their hands to ensure that all license premises are meeting current fire regulations, but they have started the process of inspecting all properties and we would strongly recommend that you try and ensure you are meeting these regulations prior to inspection. They do have very substantial powers, which include the possible closure of premises without notice…we can give advise on this matter, ignorance is going to be no excuse. The fire officers are making it very clear that they will be taking their responsibilities very seriously and will start carrying out inspections in the near future.

 

Katharine House Hospice:  Annual plant sale

Bankier Sloan for the first time are sponsoring this event due to take place at The Great Barn, Aynho, Nr Banbury on Tuesday 9th May 2006 from 10.30am - 3.30pm - entry is £2.50. Sale of Calthorpe Street Investment

As many of you will have read in our February Outlook we promoted the availability of an investment known as 64 – 66 Calthorpe Street, Banbury. This was offered on a new 999 year lease, generating an income of £26,700. We obtained enquires from over 140 companies and individuals, which resulted in seven offers, the highest being £360,000. We give you this information because we think it shows the fantastic demand for investments in towns such as Banbury at the current time.

 

Last yard, Aynho

We have now let five secure yards at this location and have just one left.  This is available on a new lease at around £8,000 per annum and will be available as from 1st July (we think we have a short term / temporary let for 2 months on this site!).

This development is progressing well and the units are expected to be complete by June.
