we'll add them to our register. Our e-mail address is reception@centre-p.co.uk
Restaurant - Central Oxford: We are about to be instructed to market the leasehold interest in an
exceptionally fine basement restaurant in the centre of Oxford. I would expect
full details to be available within the next 7 days and if you are interested
please send an e-mail to reception@centre-p.co.uk putting the
words "Oxford Restaurant" in the subject box and we will provide you with full
details. There are over 8 years left on the lease and we think this
will prove to be of interest to a variety of people either as an on-going restaurant
or potentially with other uses in mind, such as a night club or similar.
Haulage
Yard - Thorpe Way, Banbury: We appreciate these are difficult
times for the haulage industry but we never the less believe this will
generate considerable interest either as a site for the continued use as a
transport yard or alternative uses such as a vehicle hire operation or possibly
even car sales. Full details of this site are already on our web-site
at http://www.centre-p.co.uk/Haulage%20Yard,%20Banbury.pdf.
HMS Pinafore
- "From
scratch": We are delighted to be able to help promote a Banbury
Operatic Society event taking place on the 17th May, with all proceeds going
to the Katharine House Hospice. This one night performance will be a "from
scratch" show with the entire audience being invited not only to dress the part
but also come ready to sing . Last time a similar event took place in
early 2005 over 500 tickets were sold. Tickets are now available from One
Man Band in White Lion Walk, Banbury or if you want more information
please e-mail fredriches@talktalk.net .
Thorpe Mead,
Banbury - two adjacent workshop units, each with good first floor accommodation: I
genuinely believe these are the best small workshop/warehouse units available
in and around the Banbury area.
Constructed with a ground floor footprint of 1,650 sq ft each, one unit is
currently empty and the other is becoming empty in the near future. They
were built with the intention of being able to link them together if required,
therefore we are happy to promote these as one of two units. Each have the
benefit of excellent first floor office accommodation and are now available on
new leases. Details and photographs are available at http://www.centre-p.co.uk/pdfs/Thorpe%20Mead.pdf . A QUESTION FOR
YOU ! Now we have to suffer paying rates on empty premises, I
have a question for anyone who might be able to help. One of my
clients has had a unit empty for about 6 months (rates are therefore about
to kick-in), it has a seperate assessment from the adjacent
unit which will become vacant in three weeks time (where upon my
clients will claim void rates). If we link the two units (a very easy
construction job) and get the unit re-assesed as one unit will we be able to
claim void rates on the combined units for a new 6 month period ? Views
please to reception@centre-p.co.uk
Photographic Schedule:
I was pleased to be able to assist a client a fortnight ago when
they asked me if I had photos of a property I visited back in 1994. I had
them filed away, neatly enveloped, and my client was delighted (oh, and
I was amazed !!). It did however make me wonder, with the onset of
digital cameras, hard drives and CD if I will be able to be so obliging to
my clients in ten or fifteen years time. Maybe we should all make sure we have
printed records of our photographs because I for one doubt whether the PC's
we currently have on our desks will be capable of reading the CD's many of
us hold our photographs on at the present time. The hard drive currently sitting
under my desk is unlikely to be here in three years time never mind fifteen
!
Moreton Pinkney
Sale: Many thanks to the solicitors involved, Louise Jakeman
at Williamson & Soden, Solihull on behalf of the purchasers, and Robert
Jackson at Bower and Bailey on behalf of the vendors, in the sale of
this property. Thanks also to the purchaser's agents John
Goodman and Partners, Chartered Surveyors, from Lighthorn without whom I'm sure
this would never have happened ! We instructed just before Christmas
and documents were exchanged and completed exactly on schedule in
mid March. If you are a residential, agents or residential
developer, reading this and wondering what price we achieved for this
potential residential site (with planning permission already granted for
7,000 sq ft of residential units), we will tell you by return....you just
need to send an e-mail to reception@centre-p.co.uk writing
the words Moreton Pinkney in the SUBJECT BOX !
Thorpe Way,
Banbury: We have for a few months been promoting a
workshop unit at this location which totals 6,800 sq ft. Our clients are
now prepared to divide this unit creating two separate workshops, both totalling
between 3,200sq ft and 3,400 sq ft. We will be seeking a rent of £5.50 per
square foot for a 5 year lease and may be prepared to offer a small rent free
period to assist in the fitting out. If you wish further details please
e-mail reception@centre-p.co.uk.
New Offices
- Southam
Road, Banbury: We originally promoted this a month ago and we
still believe this is the best 2,000 sq ft office accommodation available in the
Banbury area. It is a brand new development and at a rent of only £12.00
per square foot per annum it is at a highly competitive rent. See http://www.centre-p.co.uk/pdfs/Southam%20Road%20-%20Details.pdf.
Office, Steeple
Aston: Small but beautiful, at £55 per week it will be hard to
better this one/two person self contained office. Please telephone 01869
338866 if you wish to view.
Cricket:
I organise a pub cricket team, we plan to play about ten wednesday
night games this summer.....if you play in a similar team and may be looking
for a game please let me know...we have a pitch, kit and a team of about 17
players (oh, and before you ask...yes we all play, we turned out once with
20 !) Please tel : Ian Sloan on 01869 338866 or e-mail
me with the details.
