Rural Business...? I'm having a 'discussion'
with a local planning authority on behalf of a client on the question of
whether they run a business! It's like this...there is a large well
established rural industrial estate creating no problems ....the Local Plan
says it will not support the development of new buildings in such locations,
except in the case of an existing rural business which needs to expand, and can
prove it cannot sensibly relocate to a traditional industrial estate....well
that's fine by me...my clients own the estate..the running of the estate IS
their business, the Local Plan doesn't say just because they own the estate
they must be ignored....any help/guidance would be much appreciated !

Void Rates on Empty Industrial Premises are coming to an end! Yes
the Budget has announced this change as from April 2008 ! After
6 months empty you will pay full rates on empty industrial premises..and
after 3 months you will now pay full rates on shops and offices. There
